I have several problems with a member of this band, so I'm disinclined to like this album. However, exceptional music speaks for itself, and this album really is exceptional, from the guitar work to the vocals to the production. As painful as it is for me to write these words, this is among the best releases of the year and firmly belongs in the collection of anyone who cares about contemporary indiepop. Michael Feck
